Day at Scandia

On Saturday, May 22, we girls in the family went to Scandia for the day. Warren's work met a goal and so they treated all the employees and their families to unlimited passes at Scandia. We got to go mini-golfing, bumper boating, Indy car racing, the Screamer, and the Arcade. We had a blast. Here are some pics of us enjoying our day. The men in the family went to Hangtown Motor Crossing.

School Open House

Tonight was open house at Carlin's school. We had fun looking at all the things she has done this year and exploring the other classrooms to see what she would be doing in the future. Here are some of the things she did this year.

Choir Concert

Carlin had a choir concert at her school on Wednesday, May 19. Each grade had a song they performed. Carlin also got to show off playing the piano. At the end, the choir treated us with an act that they made up to the Star Wars Theme. It was really cute. Here are a couple of pics and videos from the evening.

My Birthday

Saturday May 15th was my birthday. That's right, I turned 29!! Haha! I had a great birthday. The celebrating started on Friday. Warren and Matt went on a father/son campout, so I took the girls out on the town. I took them to McDonalds for dinner. Then my friend, Brook, asked us to stop in at her house for a little bit. She made me a beautiful birthday cake. It was delicious too. Then I took the girls to see the movie "Letters to Juliet". The movie was great! I loved it. Great chick flick. Then on Saturday, we invited all of my family in the area and Warren's parents over for a BBQ/swimming party. Thank you to everyone for your birthday wishes and making my birthday awesome.

Alyssa (Brook's daughter) wrote me a message.

Mormons Helping Hands

Our church has a service day every year. As a ward, we go to different schools or parks in the area and clean, paint, pull weeds etc. This year our ward went to Thomas Edison School. We had a good turn out. We got a lot accomplished and were glad to help in the community. Here are some pics that Warren took of our family helping out.

Deb's Mom's B-Day/Cinco de Mayo Celebration

Today was my Mom's Birthday. It also happens to be Cinco de Mayo. We combined the two and had a celebration. We went to my Mom and Dad's house and had nachos with the fixings for dinner. We then went outside to hit around a pinata. We gave my Mom the first wack at it since it was her birthday. After the pinata, we went in for dessert. Which was angel food cake with whipped cream and strawberries. Yummy!! Here are some pics of the event.
