Our Last Vacation of Summer 2009

We decided to go on one last vacation before school starts. We didn't really get to vacation this year since Matt had summerschool and then the older kids had trek. We left on Tuesday afternoon for Dillon Beach. We set up camp when we got there and went to bed. On Wednesday we went to the beach and saw seals, crabs, jellyfish, pelicans and played in the sand. We went back to camp for lunch and then went hiking in the sand dunes. The kids had fun hiking the tallest dune mountain, then rolling or running down. Carlin led the pack!! We did the same thing on Thursday. On Friday, we left for Rio Vista. We met up with my sister Pam and her family and Marilyn and a few of her kids. We set up camp and then went to the river for an afternoon of beach play and jetskiing. That night it got really windy and we ended up sleeping on top of our tent because we were afraid the poles would break so we took it down. Anyway, what an adventure!! Here are the pics!!
