1st Day of School

Well, Today was the first day of school. Carlin starts 3rd grade, Miranda is a 6th grader at Arden Middle School and Kylie is a Freshman at El Camino. Carlin was excited, but Kylie and Miranda are both starting at new schools this year and are a bit nervous. I am sure they will do fine. For those of you who don't know, we decided to have Matt do Independent Study this year to see if this will help him with his grades. Hopefully it works. He starts next week. Our Last Vacation of Summer 2009

We decided to go on one last vacation before school starts. We didn't really get to vacation this year since Matt had summerschool and then the older kids had trek. We left on Tuesday afternoon for Dillon Beach. We set up camp when we got there and went to bed. On Wednesday we went to the beach and saw seals, crabs, jellyfish, pelicans and played in the sand. We went back to camp for lunch and then went hiking in the sand dunes. The kids had fun hiking the tallest dune mountain, then rolling or running down. Carlin led the pack!! We did the same thing on Thursday. On Friday, we left for Rio Vista. We met up with my sister Pam and her family and Marilyn and a few of her kids. We set up camp and then went to the river for an afternoon of beach play and jetskiing. That night it got really windy and we ended up sleeping on top of our tent because we were afraid the poles would break so we took it down. Anyway, what an adventure!! Here are the pics!!

Matt, Kylie and Warren Survived Trek!!!!!

They Survived!!! My day started out with a drive to the Sly Park area with Miranda, Carlin and their two friends. We anxiously awaited the return of the trekers. The trekers were greeted by a lot of people cheering and singing. We stopped on the way home at In n Out due to a request from Matt and Kylie. They say they had a good time but our tired. Folsom Lake with the Barnes Family

Today me and the little girls were invited to go to Folsom Lake with the Barnes. We met them out there at 1:30 and just had fun playing in the water. We took a neighbor with us too. We left the lake around 4:00. We had a blast and will definitely do that again!! Now both the girls have friends sleeping over and tomorrow we pick up Kylie and Matt from trek.
